ATLANTA (January 12, 2024) — The Atlanta Pride Committee is pleased to announce that the 2024 Atlanta Pride Festival will be held in Piedmont Park on October 12-13, 2024. Since it began in Piedmont Park in 1970, the Atlanta Pride Festival has grown to welcome more than 300,000 visitors and hosts the city's largest parade. The annual celebration will again coincide with National Coming Out Day on October 11. October is also recognized as LGBTQ+ History Month.
Crystal Stubbs, chair of the Atlanta Pride Committee's Board of Directors, noted, "We recognize that the first day of this year's festival will overlap with Yom Kippur, observed by our Jewish friends and community partners. Due to the City of Atlanta's permitting requirements for large events, Atlanta Pride cannot change the festival dates. We are actively working with the Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity (SOJOURN) and other leaders in the Jewish community to ensure everyone has opportunities to celebrate Pride as our fullest and most authentic selves."
