When is Pride?

The Atlanta Pride Festival is always held the second full weekend in October. This usually coincides with the weekend prior to National Coming Out Day. In 2024 the dates are currently pending city permit approval.

Can I bring food/drink to the Park?

While you're welcome to bring food and drinks, we encourage you to support our vendors: We discourage bringing beverages, coolers, or food onto the festival grounds to ensure the funds from on-site beverage sales go toward maintaining a free Atlanta Pride Festival for all. Purchases of food and drinks within the festival area help cover event operating costs. Kindly note that glass bottles are not permitted on the premises, and any outside alcohol is subject to confiscation.

Are Pets allowed in Piedmont Park?

According to the City of Atlanta's ordinance, pets are not permitted in Piedmont Park during Class-A festivals, such as Atlanta Pride. Those attempting to bring animals to the site may be issued tickets by the Atlanta Police Department. Service animals, however, are an exception to this rule.

Can I grill or cook out in the park?

In accordance with the City of Atlanta's ordinance, grills or BBQs are not permitted in Piedmont Park during Class-A festivals, including Atlanta Pride. Individuals attempting to bring these items on-site may face ticketing by the Atlanta Police Department.

Can I set up a tent in the park?

Feel free to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas. Tents are permitted in designated areas, but please refrain from staking them. You can use sandbags or water weights to secure your tents. Please note that any personal belongings, including tents, left on the grounds overnight will be removed.

Are weapons allowed at Piedmont Park?

We respectfully request that you leave your weapons, including firearms, at home.

Is smoking allowed at the Festival and Parade?

Pursuant to the City of Atlanta's ordinance, no smoking is allowed in Piedmont Park. Patrons attempting to smoke on-site are subject to ticketing by the Atlanta Police Department. Participants are not allowed to smoke in the Parade line up area or during the parade.
