ATLANTA (October 1, 2021) — The Atlanta Pride Committee announced today the grant recipients for their brand new initiative, the "Pride in Action Fund."
APC Executive Director, Jamie Fergerson said, "We know that making the tough decision to cancel the in-person Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade this year impacted LGBTQ+ community organizations in various ways. With that in mind, we created the Pride in Action Fund to help financially support those organizations in their important work without the benefit of that platform."
The intent was for these funds to have a rapid turn around. The call for applications was announced the first week in September, and those were due September 15. Successful applicants were informed this
week and funds will be distributed immediately.
