It’s everything you ever wanted to know about religion and faith-based communities but were afraid to ask. This interactive interfaith panel will tackle barriers to faith, cultural misperceptions and commonly misused scripture, as well as the “elephant in the room” — sexuality and sin.
Join Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters’ Audrey Galex and leaders of four different religious backgrounds for an open conversation as we explore the intersections between religion and sexuality and gender identity and how our traditions allow us to confront, understand and embrace contemporary LGBTQ issues.
Featured speakers include:
• Faisal Alam, Al-Fatiha
• Rabbi Brad Levenberg, Temple Sinai
• Rev. Maressa Pendermon, Unity Fellowship Church
• Rev. Paul M. Turner, Gentle Spirit Christian Church of Atlanta, Inc.
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Co-sponsored by the Atlanta Pride Committee, Inc. and SOJOURN (Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity).
