Steven is the first Director of Equity and Engagement for Atlanta Pride, which serves as an advocate of, and resource to, gender and sexually diverse communities in Atlanta and the Southeastern United States. APC's operations include the annual Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade in October, as well as 60 other educational, social, and historical programs each year, as well as community reinvestment initiatives. Steven is looking forward to broadening the community relationships of APC and platforming a diversity of voices and perspectives from our community. Prior to this position, he served nearly 13 years with AID Atlanta — having run their Gay Men's Outreach Program (GO Atlanta) and been integral in the development of AIDS Walk Atlanta & Music Festival. His work with Drag Queen Story Hour Atlanta has received international press attention and has been highlighted for their work in creating visibility and representation while promoting creative expression, tolerance, acceptance and a lifelong passion for literacy. Steven was also recently appointed to the Advisory Board of Out Front Theatre, and also serves on the Georgia Prevention and Care Council. He makes his home in Lilburn with his husband Kevin and their two dogs, Mango and Bailey.
